About this trial

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is frequently accompanied by deficits in executive functions and fine motor skills, which affect daily activities, academic performance, and health-related quality of life. The DextEgg is a gamified hand-training device with motion and pressure sensors that connects to a tablet app and allows fine motor exercises to be combined with cognitive demands (inhibition, working memory, cognitive flexibility). This single-center randomized controlled trial evaluates whether a 4-week home-based cognitive-motor training with the DextEgg improves fine motor skills and executive functions in children aged 8 to 12 years with ADHD, compared with a motor-only DextEgg training of identical dose. Fifty children will be randomized 1:1 and complete 20 home-based sessions (5 per week, 35 minutes each). Assessments take place at baseline, after the intervention, and at 3-month follow-up.
