Arms and interventions

DextroseExperimental

Participants ingested 30 g of dextrose, divided into three 10-g servings each dissolved in 100 mL of water, during a standardized high-volume resistance training session (squat, bench press, bench pull; five sets of up to 15 repetitions at 62.5% of 1RM).

MaltodextrinExperimental

Participants ingested 30 g of maltodextrin (DE15-18), divided into three 10-g servings each dissolved in 100 mL of water, during a standardized high-volume resistance training session (squat, bench press, bench pull; five sets of up to 15 repetitions at 62.5% of 1RM).

Highly Branched Cyclic DextrinExperimental

Participants ingested 30 g of highly branched cyclic dextrin (HBCD), divided into three 10-g servings each dissolved in 100 mL of water, during a standardized high-volume resistance training session (squat, bench press, bench pull; five sets of up to 15 repetitions at 62.5% of 1RM).

Dietary supplements: Dextrose, Maltodextrin, Highly Branched Cyclic Dextrin
