The purpose of this study is to investigate the immediate effects of applying low-frequency Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) to the gluteus medius muscle on gait (walking patterns) and balance in healthy young adults. The gluteus medius is a major hip muscle that plays a crucial role in stabilizing the pelvis and maintaining postural balance during walking. Although TENS is widely used in clinical settings, its immediate impact on multi-planar walking kinematics and stability when applied specifically to this muscle is not fully understood. In this study, healthy young adult participants will receive a single 20-minute session of low-frequency TENS applied bilaterally to their gluteus medius muscles. Researchers will evaluate the participants' static and dynamic balance performance, as well as their three-dimensional walking patterns, immediately before and after the electrical stimulation to observe any acute changes in their physical performance and stabilization strategies.
