Summary
This study aims to translate and culturally adapt the Ro Allison Indiana Dhurandhar Food Noise Inventory (RAID-FN) into Hindi and evaluate its psychometric properties in Indian adults. Following Ethics Committee approval and informed consent, eligible participants will complete a paper-based, self-administered survey including the Hindi RAID-FN, validation measures, and demographic information. A subset of participants will complete the questionnaire again after a short interval to assess test-retest reliability. The Hindi RAID-FN uses a 5-point Likert scale to measure food noise experienced "right now," consistent with the validated recall period. Reliability, validity, and scoring of the total scale and subscales will be evaluated according to published guidelines. The study will provide the first validated Hindi version of the RAID-FN and generate evidence on the prevalence and characteristics of food noise among Indian adults.
